After witnessing
the tragedy brought upon Asia by the tsunami, we decided, as a
community of Sri Lankans living in Canada, to establish a politically
neutral, non-profit, relief fund for Sri Lanka.
Our goal by doing
this is to monitor the use of funds collected, to make sure it is
distributed impartially among people of all ethnic backgrounds without
political interference.
We hope to
generate enough funds to be able to provide tsunami victims with food,
medicine, and shelter.
